Magnificent Chanel Haute Couture skirt suit from the 1960s. From the estate of an avid Chanel Couture collector, this suit is truly special. Thick wool magenta with a faint fuchsia all over plaid. The jacket is trimmed in navy blue and fuchsia. Collarless with horizontal slit pockets. No buttons, the jacket closes with large hook and eyes that are strategically hidden, so the jacket can be worn open or closed. Navy blue silk lining with gold chain at interior hem. The back of the jacket is slightly longer than the front. The skirt is classic pencil style. Haute Couture label with bolduc (style number) on back. Excellent vintage condition. Handmade in France.
