Stunning and elegant late 1960's Galanos black silk chiffon gown. Fitted halter style bodice with vertical ruching at bust and horizontal ruching across waist. Halter straps cross at upper back, creating a beautiful open back. Skirt is long and flowing with soft pleats. Fastens with invisible zipper in skirt and large hook and eyes at back of bodice. Throughout his career Galanos became known for his work in chiffon; evening wear was a specialty, as you can see in this piece. Grecian style, excellent vintage condition.
