Chanel coat dress and skirt ensemble from the 1990s. The deep purple wool of the coat dress is contrasted by the jet black cut velvet collar and trim. Double breasted with gold tone metal Chanel logo buttons. Four patch pockets with velvet trim. Tulip hem. Interior shoulder pads and matching purple silk lining with tiny Chanel logos all over. Underskirt is highwaisted with a zipper and hook and eye closure at centre back seam. Top 2/3 of the skirt is purple silk that matching jacket lining with tiny Chanel logos. The top is meant to be covered by the jacket. Botton 1/3 of the skirt is black velvet, that matches the trim on the jacket. Coat dress can be worn without the skirt, but the skirt cannot be worn without the coat dress. Excellent vintage condition. Made in France. Marked size FR 40. Fits like a US size 8.
