Black Christian Dior London raw silk jacket and dress ensemble from the mid 1950's. The jacket has a wide shawl collar, bracelet length sleeves, straight front pockets and three silk covered front buttons. An adjustable front bow finishes off the jacket's polished look. The dress has a boat neckline, cap sleeves and a front belt detail at the waist, with two silk covered buttons. Items can be worn together or separately. Timeless elegance, excellent condition. Belonged to a Canadian women who modeled for the House of Dior from the mid 1950's until the mid 1960's. The ensemble, as the tag says, was a sample piece.
