Description
Fabulous Donald Brooks three piece ensemble from the early 1970s. Features matching fiery orange cotton jacket and trousers with silk top. Jacket has a rounded notched collar, gold metal buttons and rounded diagonal patch pockets at bust. Shirt is abstract black, yellow and orange printed silk with long sleeves and a boat neckline. Trousers are high waisted and boot cut with centre pleats and belt loops. Jacket and trousers have contrasting yellow top stitching and the silk lining of the jacket matches the top. This Donald Brooks look was featured on the January 1970 American Vogue cover - see photos. a copy of the magazine comes with purchase. Excellent vintage condition.
